The park’s seasonal swamps, fed by underground rivers from Kilimanjaro’s ice cap, attract a wide array of wildlife, making for exceptional photographic opportunities. A visit to a local Maasai village can be arranged for cultural enrichment. Between drives, enjoy leisure time at the lodge and take in the serene atmosphere. Dinner and overnight stay in Amboseli.

Day 4: Amboseli to Tsavo National Park (Approx. 2–3 hours by road)

After breakfast and check-out, depart Amboseli and head east toward Tsavo National Park, one of Kenya’s largest and most diverse wildlife sanctuaries. The park is divided into Tsavo East and Tsavo West, and your route may vary depending on the lodge or camp booked. En route, enjoy changing landscapes from open plains to lava flows and acacia woodland. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge, followed by an afternoon game drive. Tsavo is renowned for its red-dust elephants, maneless lions, and geological features like the Mzima Springs and Lugard Falls. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Today is dedicated to discovering the vast and untamed wilderness of Tsavo. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives across varying habitats—rivers, savannahs, volcanic hills, and dense bushland. Wildlife is plentiful and includes elephants, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, leopards, and over 500 species of birds. Depending on your location, you might explore Tsavo West’s scenic landscapes and springs, or Tsavo East’s expansive plains and Galana River.
