4 Days Chalbi Desert Safari Itinerary
DAY 1 – Nairobi to Marsabit
Early pickup from Nairobi in a 4×4 Land Cruiser and departure north through Timau and Isiolo.
Stop for photos and sightseeing at Mt. Ololokwe before reaching the misty town of Marsabit.
Explore Lake Paradise and the crater lakes inside Marsabit National Park.
Dinner and overnight stay in Marsabit town.
DAY 2 – Chalbi Desert Safari Experience
After breakfast, head into the Chalbi Desert, one of Kenya’s most remarkable remote landscapes.
Cross the desert towards Kalacha Oasis and onward to North Horr, marveling at vast sand dunes and shimmering salt flats.

DAY 3 – Loiyangalani Lake Turkana Experience
Journey south towards Loiyangalani on Lake Turkana, the largest alkaline lake in the world.
Visit the island home of the El Molo people and learn about their unique culture and history.
End the day with a spectacular sunset and “sundowner” beside the lake shores, a true Lake Turkana experience.
Overnight stay in Loiyangalani.
DAY 4 – Ngurunit Rock Pools Adventure
After breakfast, continue north to Ngurunit, an oasis nestled near the Ndoto Ranges known for birdlife and natural rock pools.
